Can the Prosecutors Prove That You Intended to Harass?
Criminal harassment is a general term for a number of behaviors that are usually meant to harass or annoy. Harassment of a current or former spouse or romantic partner is considered a domestic violence offense. The following are some common examples of harassment:
- Repeatedly calling someone in the middle of the night and then hanging up
- Sending someone repeated, profane phone messages, text messages and e-mails
- Physically pushing or shoving someone in an intimidating way
